At how many weeks should I have my cast/mould done?
We usually recommend at 36 weeks however you can decide when your time and size is right. We suggest ordering the DIY kit so that you have it on hand in case you need to make the cast earlier. Some clients have done it while in labour!
Will my cast break in transit?
No it won’t. We supply a padded box and even if it does get damaged, the plaster cast holds it’s shape and we are able to re-inforce it at our studio.
My cast is floppy or dented can I still send it?
Yes you can. Please ensure you let your cast dry naturally in a well ventilated space so that it sets well. We are able to reinforce and repair your cast at our studio to it’s true form.
I have an existing cast. Can you use it to make a Belly Bowl or Torso?
Yes, we usually can. Please send us a picture of the cast and we will let you know if we are able to work with it.
Can you make more that 1 bowl with the cast should I require that?
Yes we can use the same cast to make multiple Belly Bowls or Torso’s.
What is the turn around time for my bowl to be completed?
It takes around 3-5 weeks from when you have decided on your final design & finishes and have communicated that with us.
If I change my mind on the design and style at what point is it too late without being charged for another Belly Bowl?
It depends on how far we are in the process so cannot promise an exact time. However if the bowl has already been made but not glazed you can still change the colour and finishes unfortunately not the shape.
We haven't named our baby yet can you still add it to our bowl after it has been made?
Yes. We can start the bowl in the meantime and add the your babies details when you send them to us.
I want my Belly Bowl for a new born shoot, can you have it made in time?
Yes, however we will require your cast, final design and finishes chosen at least 3.5 weeks prior to the shoot so please plan ahead.
Do you have vouchers as we want to spoil a pregnant friend of ours?
Absolutely. Just get in touch with us on WhatsApp, email or place an order with the set deposit and we will send you one to your preferred amount. Any additional fees can be settled by the friend should they exceed the voucher total.
I'd like a Portrait painting, do I need a professional photo taken?
No you don’t. We just require a close up shot using a decent cell or camera of your baby which you can WhatsApp or email to us.
I want to have the Footprints design, how does this work?
If you dont have Babies footprints from the hospital, you can make them easily at home. Using a normal waterbased paint, paint the bottom of babies feet and place them together onto a piece of white paper or card to create a print. Take a picture of the print from directly above and send this to us with the measurement from heal to the top of the big toe.
What's your refund policy?
We have a non refundable deposit policy however you are welcome to pass on your DIY Kit to another Mom to be, have a Bust cast done in celebration of your breast feeding journey or keep your kit if you plan to have another baby.
