If it’s a Torso Shape you like, all the same finishes below are available (except for the Raku effect).

Each Belly Bowl is hand made from clay, using your own unique belly cast as the mould. Each bowl is hand decorated and fired in our kiln. We have two main shapes to choose from – Belly Bowl or Full Torso.

Smooth-edge rim

Natural Round

The Natural Round is your typical, simple bowl shape.

Scalloped edge

Scalloped

The Scalloped shape takes its shape from a scallop sea shell and is wavy.

Mixed

The Mixed shape is a mix between the natural round and the scalloped shape.

The Belly Bowl shape is naturally rotund and takes the shape of your own belly when themould was made. Your unique shape will depend on how far along you are in your pregnancy, and of course your own unique body shape which will be different for each pregnancy.

This traditional glaze technique results in a glossy finish with clean, clear colours.

A beautiful Japanese technique known for its unpredictability and unique crackled glaze results and varied tones.

Choose your Colours

You can choose a colour for your whole bowl or a different colour for the inside of the Bowl and the outside of the Bowl (duotone). For the Torso, there will only be an outside colour.

Ombré is the blending of one color hue to another, usually moving tints and shades from light to dark. It comes from French, meaning shaded.
